Another student at Sioux North High School has also tested positive for the virus.
In this case, two classes in the school are closed effective today (Tuesday, March 16)
This positive student case is in addition to the two student cases announced on March 13, where one was deemed to have no school exposure therefore no class closures were required for that case.
Cases are being followed up with by the health unit and all contacts of the case are being called and given instructions by public health.
The board continues to work with the health unit to minimize all potential risks.
Families not contacted directly by staff on the evening of March 16 are deemed to be at no additional risk and can continue to attend school as usual.
