Two New Fires on Tuesday

The Ministry of Natural Resources is attacking 2-new fires.
The forest fires sparked Tuesday.
One blaze is burning in the Washagomis Lake area, near Red Lake and is 1.5-hectares in size.
The second is located in the Shoe Creek area, southwest of Pickle Lake and is just 0.4-hectares.
Air and ground support are at both fires.
No major problems are expected.
Meantime, the volatile weather we are experiencing could have an impact on the forest fire hazard across Northwestern Ontario.
The MNR says significant rain could push the hazard in Dryden, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Kenora and Fort Frances to low.
However, the hazard in the Thunder Bay District is expected to jump to moderate to high.
The MNR is keeping a close eye on Thunderstorm activity.
