Two new projects targeting prescription drug abuse will be offered in First Nations communities around Sioux Lookout.
The Maternal Addictions Continuum is a three-year-project which will work with pregnant mothers struggling with addictions.
Sol Mamakwa from the Shibogama Health Authority says there will be a number of workers to assist with mental support and family support.
The other project will offer health services in First Nations communities, instead of patients having to travel far distances for medical appointments and services.
