Two trustees with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board have resigned.
Kenora trustee Teika Newton stepped down as of yesterday.
The other trustee vacancy is for the First Nation representative on the Board.
Denise Baxter resigned back in March.
The board has announced that Connie Gray-McKay is to be appointed as KPDSB’s new Indigenous Trustee.
The board says Mrs. Gray-McKay brings to the role many years of experience as a former Chief of Mishkeegogamang First Nation and is a strong advocate of First Nations and youth voices.
