The King Street underpass in Dryden will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic starting on Wednesday.
Work is set to begin next week on upgrades to the aging underpass.
City officials say the closure is expected to last until October 31st.
Motorists are encouraged to use the Duke Street Overpass, Marguerie Street and Gordon Road and Sandy Beach Road.
The city is reminding motorists to allow for additional travel time.
