Natural gas is coming to Red Lake, Balmertown and Cochenour, and Union Gas is holding presentations to explain the benefits and savings available to home owners in the area.
About 70 turned out to Tuesday evening’s presentation at the Red Lake Heritage Centre. Topics covered included potential savings of switching to natural gas heat, stoves, hot water heaters and dryers as well as hook up fees, rebates and billing options.
A second session is planned for Wednesday evening, starting at 7 at the Heritage Centre.
