Union Not Expecting Quick Resolution To College Strike

The head of the union representing striking Confederation College teachers says she’s very disappointed talks in the contract dispute have broken down.

Rebecca Ward says the latest offer tabled to college teachers in the province has not changed and it’s not an effort to end the strike

Ward says students and teachers deserve far better than what they have on the table today.

The colleges want the Ontario Labour Relations Board to put their last offer to a vote, something Ward believes will be rejected.

They are also asking teachers to return to classes until a new vote is held, something Ward believes will not happen.
