A northwestern Ontario woman is facing charges in Warroad for trying to smuggle marijuana into the U.S.
The 26-year-old from Big Island First Nation was found with 13 grams of marijuana concealed inside a body cavity.
The woman with two other people were driving back from Winnipeg Sunday when U.S. Customs and Border Protection became suspicious and later detected a strong odour of marijuana inside their vehicle.
The woman later admitted to having the drugs, and was taken a local medical facility where an examination revealed the marijuana
