Canada’s 42nd election has been called.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper launched the campaign at around 10:15 a.m., following a meeting with Governor General David Johnston.
This is to be the longest federal election campaign in recent history. Canadians head to the polls on Monday, October 19th. (File photo)
