Union Gas worked all night to fix the pipeline leak at
Keating Avenue in Fort Frances.
Testing is continuing to determine if there are any
dangerous gas levels in the affected areas.
The evacuation order is still in effect for part of the
early morning.
The Super 8 Motel is being allowed to reopen, so guests
can gather their belongings.
Rainy River District School Board Director of Education
Jack McMaster says they’re taking precautionary measures,
and closing J.W. Walker and Fort Frances High School for
today.
St. Francis school is also closed for the weekend.
