Update on Red Lake Fire #124

The Ministry of Natural Resources says showers Monday has helped fire fighters gain the upper hand on a large fire burning in Woodland Caribou Provincial Park.
The blaze is now more than 40-kilometres northwest of Red Lake.
Officials say an Alberta Management Team has taken command of the fire and is making good progress.
The fire is over 11,000 hectares size and has caused smokey conditions in Red Lake.
Officials are also trying to ensure that canoeists don’t travel in the area and that anglers stay well away from the flames.
