Valley heading to Pikangikum

The situation on the Pikangikum First Nation has been in the national spotlight this week, and Kenora M.P. Roger Valley says he’s travelling to the community today on a fact finding mission.

Valley says the focus has been on the drinking water quality in the community, but adds there are other issues that need to be looked into as well.

Valley says he spoke to Indian Affairs Minister Jim Prentice on Monday and says they want to find both short term and long term solutions for Pikangikum’s problems.
