With the Liberal Cabinet now in place, the next task for the Paul Martin Government is to swear in its new backbenchers.
Kenora MP Roger Valley is one of those anxiously waiting and he suggests the call may come sometime in mid-August.
Valley says he has not been told what role he will play in Parliament but he says he’s gunning for a First Nations or Municipal Affairs Committee position.
Valley says he is now trying to shore up office space and working on hiring staff.
