Canada’s Adam van Koeverden left the field in his dust today, (Friday) winning the men’s K1 1,000-metre final by more than three seconds at the world canoe and kayak championships.
The Oakville native took gold with a time of three minute 36.194 seconds.
Adam is the son of Dryden City Manger Joe van Koeverden.
