The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario says it’s waiting on the provincial government to resume negotiations with its instructors.
Officials note they responded to the latest proposals before the Thanksgiving long weekend and even suggested bringing one of the outstanding issues to binding arbitration.
The union accuses Education Minister Liz Sandles of being ill-informed on the status of talks.
Sandles says they area waiting for the teachers union to return to the table.
The Ontario Public School Boards Association has said sick time and benefits are the outstanding issues.
