A pair of Vermillion Bay anglers are almost three thousand dollars poorer for illegal fishing activity in the Kenora area.
The MNR says the two men were ice-fishing on Cedar Lake this past March.
Not only did the fishermen had too many lines in the ice, but they also had too many fish in their possession, 10 fresh walleye and four cooked.
Conservation officers also discovered the men had just purchased his fishing licence that day, yet the fish were caught the day before.
So in addition to being charged with having too many fish in their possession, Matthew Jakobs and Lyle Gushulak were also charged with fishing without a licence.
