Very Small Tax Increase in Atikokan

Atikokan Council has approved the 2010 budget.
The average residential tax bill is going up $13 and water and sewer rates are increasing by $24.
The Town is also borrowing $4.5-million to complete the $22-million worth of capital projects the Municipality has been working on since 2008.
On the commercial side, the municipal tax rate is going up just under 1%
