It was a day to remember those who fought for our freedom.
Vimy Ridge Day ceremonies were held last night at the Royal Canadian Legion in Dryden.
President Gerry Gosselin says it’s important that we honour our veterans and remember what they were fighting for.
Gosselin says “it’s a tradition that we that are left must uphold.”
20-26 young cadets were in the crowd and Gosselin stressed it’s up to them to carry on the tradition.
Gosselin says the ceremony is a time to celebrate Canada’s acceptance as a nation in both peace and war.
