Ontario Provincial Police in Red Lake have identified the victim in the homicide investigation that began on Sunday.
Police say the victim is 43-year-old John MacDougall of Red Lake.
OPP say they are continuing their investigation along with the North West Region Forensic Identification Unit, Emergency Response Team, Underwater Search and Recovery Unit and the North West Region Crime Unit.
The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times.
