Vioxx Drug Off the Shelf

One of the most popular Anti-Arthritis drugs is off the market around the world today.
Merk ordered Pharmacies to take Vioxx off the shelf following the results of a clinical study that show an increased risk of heart attacks and stroke in patients using the drug for longer than 18 months.
Local Pharmacist Rob Button says his staff will be making a number of phone calls today.
Button says he has a list 12 pages long of people using Vioxx.
All users of the drug are encouraged to call their doctor or a local pharmacist.
