Visitor restrictions are basically in place at every Health Care facility across the Region.
An outbreak of the flu and a respiratory illness has hit Northwestern Ontario.
The Dryden Regional Health Centre has implemented visitor restrictions to help prevent the spread of influenza.
Administration at the Meno-Ya-Win Hospital in Sioux Lookout has also placed restrictions because of an influenza outbreak.
Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora has closed its doors
due to an outbreak of influenza “a” in the community.
And Officials at Riverside Health Care, which includes Hospitals in Fort
Frances, Emo and Rainy River, have also implemented a visitor ban because
of a respiratory illness that is circulating the area.
Visitors and those with flu-like symptoms are asked to stay away from the facilities and if you are allowed in you will have to wear a mask and will have to wash your hands when entering and leaving.
