Voting Tabulators May Be In Place For Next Election

It was a long wait for candidates and voters in Dryden.
Final results from the municipal election came in around 1:30 Tuesday morning.
Clerk Debra Kincaid says 60% voter turnout and an influx of new voters helped add to the workload of their volunteer crew.
Kincaid believes the process went very well.
She notes manual counting saved the City $9,000 and they believe that was the right way to go given the financial situation that the City was facing.
Saying that, Kincaid says she will put together a report for Council in the near future on ways to improve the vote and one of the suggestions will be using voting tabulators.
