Wait Time Strategy Released to NW LHIN

Ministry of Health Spokesperson Dr. Alan Hudson has unveiled the
Province’s ‘Wait Times’ strategy for Provincial Hospitals.
Hudson says the plan will alleviate some of the emergency room
pressures facing Northern Hospitals.
Hudson notes Communities, the Northwest Local Health Integration Network, Hospitals and the Government need to work together to reduce wait times.
He says 15-20% of hospital beds are occupied by people who
should be in long term care homes or receiving home care.
