A sure sign of spring this weekend, walleye season opens across Northwestern Ontario.
The walleye opener is a very popular one for anglers.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says anglers should keep daily limits in mind.
The limit for walleye is four per day for the regular license and two per day for the conservation license.
One of those fish in your daily limit can be over 46 centimetres.
There are some expections and anglers are advised to check the regulations surrounding individual bodies of water.
