It looks like a one day reprieve is all we get from the hot and sticky weather.
CKDR Meterologist Bill Laidlaw says yesterday can be considered an oddity.
Laidlaw says a system that brought torrential rain has moved on and the upper ridge is rebuilding.
Laidlaw says that will mean 30-plus degree temperatures and humid conditions.
He notes the system should hang around through the weekend.
