Northwestern Ontario reached record high temperatures
during the month of January.
It was 9 degrees warmer than normal, in Kenora. The
mean temperature last month was minus 8, the normal for
the period is minus 17.
Environment Canada says the last time the city was that
warm in January, was in 1944, with a temperature of minus
10.
Sioux Lookout, Red Lake, and Dryden also had warmer than
normal temperatures.
