Warmer Weather Causing Negative Impact On Ice Roads

The provincial government is monitoring the winter road situation in the far north.

The ice roads are necessary to transport supplies to remote First Nation communities.

Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle says with the warmer than normal temperatures it may get dicey, but he’s not ready to pledge anything more than what has been promised so far.

Gravelle says his ministry is watching the situation very closely.
