Warning for Dryden-area Sledders

Despite the frigid temperatures the ice on Wabigoon River is still not stable.
Dryden OPP say the thickness of ice is potentially hazardous and sledders should use extreme caution.
Police say the public should avoid going out onto the ice at night and should check with local authorities about the thickness of ice prior to going out.
Ice thickness should be a minimum of 15 centimetres for walking and 25 cm for snowmobilers.
