Kyle Heck’s second goal of the game in overtime was the difference as the Dryden Ice Dogs beat the Fort Frances Lakers 5-4 in a back and forth affair Wednesday night.
Mike Lennon added a goal and 2-assists and says when his club gained the offensive zone they were able to control the play.
Ben McLellan and Garret Nystedt also found the back of the net, while Brett Timmerman won in his SIJHL debut.
Dryden outshot Fort Frances 48-29.
In other action last night, the Fort William North Stars scored twice in the third period to down the K&A Wolverines 2-1.
Mitch Forbes scored the winner.
