Water levels near normal for this time of year

The Lake of the Woods Control Board says water levels are in the normal range for this time of year.

Lake levels rose 5 centimeters this past week, and are expected to increase a similar amount in the next seven days, depending on how much rain we get.

The Control Board says the Winnipeg River has risen steadily because of small increases in outflows from the Norman Dam and steady precipitation.

Lac Seul has also risen steadily, but is in the normal range for this time of year.
