The City of Dryden is expected to start the process of installing Water Meters in October.
Council has selected Neptune Technology at a cost of $1.2-million.
Neptune meters are currently in place in Red Lake, Sioux Lookout and Kenora.
Director of Public Works and Engineering Mike Louttit says the company has a good track record and the meters are strong, durable and can withstand extreme temperatures.
The entire installation process, training and public education campaign is expected to last until next February.
Homeowners will be on the hook for roughly one-third of the costs.
