Water Restrictions in Atikokan

The extreme heat has taken its toll on Atikokan’s water system.
Town CAO Warren Paulson says as of Wednesday morning, non-essential use of water is restricted because of a severe shortage at the water treatment plant.
The levels at the water storage unit are down to 60% of capacity
which is considered close to a dangerously low mark.
Paulson says residents should avoid watering lawns and gardens as
well as washing cars until further notice.
