Upgrades to the Water Treatment Plant are moving forward, despite the project being over-budget considerably.
The City is being forced to relocate the Chlorine Room under the direction of the Ministry of Labour.
The project is $132,000 above original projections of $350,000, but Staff have already identified $50,000 in savings.
Director of Public Works and Engineering Mike Loutitt says a tender has been awarded and notes he will work closely with the contractor to help find additional savings.
Construction is expected to begin sometime this month.
