An elder in northwestern Ontario is facing charges of sexual assault, after an investigation by the OPP.
On Wednesday, police confirmed the 73-year-old man from Wauzhushk Onigum is facing one charge of Sexual Assault after being arrested on March 1.
He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Originally reported by APTN News, the accused was the leader of the Gamikaan Bimaadiziwin Healing Centre on Bug Lake in 2021, and the alleged victim was a client of the camp that year.
