Early Bird registrations are now being accepted for a fundraising marathon in Dryden.
‘We Run This City’ isn’t being held until September but organizers are getting the word out now to allow people to mark it on their calendar.
Race Director Liz Godin says proceeds will go towards local outdoor recreational activities and there will be a half marathon, 10K run as well as a kid’s race for ages 12 and under.
Godin says their goal is to raise $1,000 for the ‘Ghost Lake Riders’ for the maintenance of the Ghost Lake and Mavis trails.
Godin notes there are a lot of runners who tend to go to other places for marathons, so it makes sense to hold one locally.
Right now the cost to enter is only $55.
