Weapons Call At Fort Frances High School

A young individual was taken into custody following a weapons call at Fort Frances High School.

Provincial Police were contacted by the school around 10:31 Thursday morning regarding a youth in possession of a knife.

There were no reports of any staff or students being harmed as well as no threat to public safety.

In a message to parents, the Rainy River District School Board stated the high school was placed in a brief hold and secure position while the situation was unfolding.
