Weapons Charges Laid In Fort Frances

Two men face charges after OPP found three imitation handguns in a vehicle during a RIDE check on Wednesday.

Police noticed an unopened container of cannabis during the stop on King’s Highway in Fort Frances.

A 20-year-old from Fort Frances was charged with failing to comply with conditions of a release order, along with a weapons charge.

A 19-year-old from Scarborough was charged with possessing an imitation weapon and with personation in order to avoid arrest.

Both men made initial court appearances yesterday.
