“Special Weather Statements” are changing into “Rainfall Warnings” and the dreaded “S” word is appearing.
‘Rainfall Warnings” have been issued for Red Lake, Ear Falls and Kenora with up to 50 mm of rain expected tonight and again tomorrow. As well, Environment Canada says those communities could see freezing rain and even flurries.
Meanwhile, “Special Weather Statements” for Dryden, Sioux Lookout and Fort Frances say rain will continue overnight with up to 30mm and the risk of Thunderstorms tonight with a risk of flurries tonight and tomorrow.
Anyone travelling Westward might want to check the weather carefully – Winnipeg is under a “Winter Storm Warning” and snow has been accumulating on the ground in Winnipeg and other areas in Manitoba.
