Well Water Advisory

The Ministry of Environment is testing all wells from Machin to
Wabigoon after 2-elevated samples of uranium were discovered.
The Northwestern Health Unit is urging anyone who draws their water
from a well to not drink the water.
Spokesperson Bill Limerick says test results could take 10-days to get back.
Elevated levels of uranium can cause problems to your kidneys
Limerick notes information sheets on uranium will be available starting Tuesday at Health Unit offices in Dryden and Machin as well as Municipal offices in the 2 communities.
The notice does NOT affect Municipal water systems or water from lakes and rivers.
