The Cochrane Crunch have been eliminated from the Dudley Hewitt Cup.
The Crunch stormed back from a 4-0, third period deficit, but couldn’t complete the comeback in a 6-3 loss to the Wellington Dukes Thursday afternoon.
Former Minnesota Iron Ranger Zach Hayes sparked the rally with a pair of goals.
Alex Brisson also found of the net.
The Dukes buried their opportunities on former Dryden GM Ice Dogs netminder Taylor Unruh.
Colin Doyle, Ben Evans, Jackson Arcan, Andrew Rinaldi, Bryce Yetman and Daniel Panetta all scored.
Wellington was outshot in the game 32-31.
That means the playoff round will feature the Dukes, Thunder Bay and the host Ice Dogs.
However, the seeding won’t be known until tonight’s Dryden GM-North Stars contest.
