West Nile Testing Done

It was one of the quietest seasons on record in terms of West Nile
reports locally.
The Northwestern Health Unit says only 7 birds tested positive for the
mosquito borne virus this summer, all of them in the Fort Frances area.
Al Mathers says he’s doesn’t know the reason behind the low numbers.

n052 runs: 16 sec. out…to me.

Mathers says the mosquito trapping program worked well this year, but
he hopes to conduct more tests next summer.
