The Kenora District now has its first presumed case of the West Nile Virus.
The Northwestern Health Unit says initial tests done on a dead crow found on a Kenora street have turned up positive for West Nile.
Further testing will be done at the federal virology lab in Winnipeg.
Environmental Health Officer Al Mathers says there is no need for anyone to panic since no human cases of the virus have yet been reported in Canada.
