West Nile Virus In Kenora-Rainy River

It could be another week before the Northwestern Health Unit confirms the first case of West Nile in the Kenora-Rainy River Districts.
Preliminary tests on a dead crow found earlier this month in Kenora turned up positive for the mosquito-carried virus.
Environmental Health Officer Al Mathers says final results are delayed because of a back log at labs in Winnipeg and Guelph.
So far, no humans have contracted the virus in Canada.
