West Nile Watch

The Northwestern Health Unit will again be setting up mosquito traps
in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances as part of its bird surveillance program.
Public Health Inspector Al Mathers says he isn’t expecting a busy year
when it comes to the West Nile Virus.
The Health Unit is now accepting dead birds for testing and trapping
is expected to being in July.
8 birds tested positive for West Nile last Summer and the District has
