Wesway Program Extended

A Thunder Bay agency that provides respite support services is extending a program it has had in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts the past two years.
Wesway Manager Carol Ness says they weren’t exactly sure what the response would be when the expanded into this area.
However, Ness stresses demand for the program has been high and they even have a waiting list.
Ness notes they have received additional funds from the Northwest Local Health Integration Network to continue the initiative.
The program provides funding for caregivers who need a break from taking care of Seniors living at home.
