Its in the early stages but Weyerhaeuser is considering submitting a proposal to host a multi-million dollar energy project at its Dryden Mill.
The Province is requesting proposals that seeks up to 2,500 megawatts of new electricity generation capacity and conservation measures.
Company Spokesperson Bonnie Skene says that has caught their eye and they are looking at the feasibility of such a project.
Skene says they have looked at similar initiatives in the past but she admits a number of things have to come to come together before it becomes a reality.
Skene says the Company is looking at a plan that would create 70-80 megawatts of electricity.
The province has set an August 15th deadline for proposals.
