Officials with the Dryden Weyerhaeuser Mill are urging the
Province to implement the recommendations contained in a final report on
Ontario’s Forest Industry.
Spokesperson Bonnie Skeene says it’s a good report with several
encouraging ideas.
Skeene says the 17-member Council addressed a number of the issues that are troubling Northern Ontario Mills.
The Province also announced a $350 million loan program on top of releasing the report.
Skeene says that won’t help the Company reduce operating costs.
