Weyerhaeuser Working with RAN on Environment Conce

Weyerhaeuser stresses it has no control over the forest management plan
and wood rights on the Grassy Narrows reserve.
The Rainforest Action Network targeted the Company during the recent
Highway 17 blockade over clear-cutting on the first nation.
While the issue relates more to Abitibi, Weyerhaeuser Spokesperson
Bonnie Skene says they have been speaking with the environmental group for 2
years over other concerns.
Skeene adds Weyerhaeuser takes enviornmenal issues seriously and
notes they have been recognized in the past for that.
