Wheels For Scott McEwan Day

Saturday is “Wheels for Scott McEwan Day”.
The Vermilion Bay resident is a well known community advocate and volunteer and he lost his handicapped accessible van in a fire earlier this year.
The fundraising event is being organized by the Vermilion Bay Lions Club and Vermilion Bay Kinettes.
Lions President Forrest Mann and Kinettes member Susan Pelland were guests on the CKDR Morning Show today and they stressed that when McEwan lost his van, he also lost in independance.
Mann says they are hoping to raise enough funds to purchase a new vehicle.
Pelland says McEwan has done so much for others, it’s time for them to help him out.
The fundraising day starts at 8 o’clock with a pancake breakfast.
Other activities include a snowmobile derby, lunch, fish fry, pie auction and a dance.
For more information contact Forrest at 755-2189 or Gary at 227-2449.
