Whitedog First Nation Acts on Literacy Test

A school northwest of Kenora is the first facility to join a lawsuit against the Province’s Grade 10 Literacy test.

The school in Whitedog First Nation is demanding the test be changed.

Officials say students are having serious problems, many have failed and they’re not getting enough help.

Some parents filed an injunction this week saying the test discriminates against disabled students or those in the applied stream.
